Lindsay Wildlife Museum
Lindsay Wildlife Museum is a unique natural history and environmental education center where more than 50 species of live, native California animals are just inches away. You can listen to the call of a red-tailed hawk or watch a bald eagle eat lunch. The museum programs help visitors understand human impacts on wildlife and increase their commitment to caring for the natural world.

The Oakland Zoo

Founded in 1978, the Community Alliance with Family Farmers is a nonprofit member-activist organization. CAFF political and educational campaigns are building a movement of rural and urban people who foster family-scale agriculture that cares for the land, sustains local economies, and promotes social justice. Founded in 1983, the East Bay Conservation Corps (EBCC) was one of the first in an emerging national movement of urban community service organizations for youth and young adults. Dedicated to promoting youth development through environmental stewardship and community service, the EBCC has been in the forefront of service-learning programs and curriculum development. Woven throughout EBCC's programs, service-learning is an interactive, experiential education model that integrates formal academic instruction with community service. This synthesis more deeply engages students in their education, enhances their learning outcomes, and allows them to take an active role in meeting real needs in their communities.
